CALL FOR ART: BEYOND THE BINARY

Now accepting submissions for our summer exhibit, Beyond the Binary, at Boneyard Boutique.

We are inviting LGBTQIA+ artists to submit original artwork that explores or reflects on the theme of Beyond the Binary — an artistic celebration of fluidity, identity, and expression that transcends societal norms and categories.

This exhibit is a space for visibility, authenticity, and storytelling. We welcome pieces that challenge, inspire, and illuminate the diverse experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Accepted Mediums:

Original paintings, photography, drawings, collage, sculpture, mixed media, and other visual art forms.
Artwork must be wired and ready to hang or display. Artwork should be labeled on the back with the artist name, title of piece, price, dimensions and medium.
Dimensions must be between 8"x10" and 24"x36"
All artwork must be for sale, appropriate for all ages, and priced between $50–$800
Artists retain 70% of the sale price; Boneyard Boutique retains 30%

Important Dates:

Submission Deadline: May 7
Artists Notified of Acceptance: May 14
Artwork Drop-off: May 21 or 22 during open hours
Exhibit Dates: June 6 – August 3
- Opening Reception: First Friday, June 6 | 6–9PM
- Special Pride Event: June 28 | Time TBD
- Closing Reception: August 1 | 5–9PM
Unsold Artwork Pickup: During open hours in August

I affirm that all artwork submitted is my original creation, is appropriate for all ages, and that I hold the rights to display and sell it.

I understand that not all submissions may be accepted due to space limitations, content, show fluidity, quality, and that I will be notified of acceptance by midnight on May 14.

If accepted, I agree to drop off my artwork labeled, wired, and ready to hang or display on May 21 or 22 during open hours.

I acknowledge that Boneyard Boutique retains a 30% commission on any sold artwork and that I retain 70% and am responsible for any applicable taxes.

I understand that Boneyard Boutique is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage that may occur during the exhibition.

I agree to retrieve unsold artwork during open hours in August and understand that any work not picked up by September 1 may be considered abandoned and become property of Boneyard Boutique unless prior arrangements are made.
